Lovely pictures to share

We visited Sungai Buloh again.....which is renowned as plants & flowers heaven. Huby has been pestering me for quite a while to agree with him rearing orchid. I was not so keen initially as i dislike the idea of the usage of charcoal in orchid. But since he has been "nice" that afternoon....and in addition to our needs to get a few more pots of 'prosperity plant', i went ahead with his plan.

Lot 28 was a "prosperity plant" heaven...

We love the prosperity plant bcoz it is one of the easiest to take care......at least so far, it was the longest that we could maintained!!

And the boys joined us this time by each of them picking by themselves a pot of baby prosperity plant to rear.....they were excited & treated them as their babies! I hope these plants would grow healthily together with the boys!

Next was our orchids.....i have to admit that they were indeed beautiful and i must say i was late falling in love with them !! Didn't know there were so many types & can be so colourful too.....

Some of the unexpected "picks" were none other than these "Chinese New Year" related plants... some of which i was not aware of the names:

$$$$$$ MONEY Plant

Bamboo something.......????

Another type of bamboo ...????????

Too bad, our "pussy willow" is still outstanding and we will continue to hunt for it !

Since I was busy & can't help snapping pictures of the beautiful flowers at the nurseries, it is just wise that i share them here.

Have a pleasure time viewing them!

New Year Resolutions

It was at the request of Ginie, that i'm taking the initiatives to " THINK of " & share my New Year's resolutions.......i have never done this before by the way, hahaha......shouldn't u feel proud genie?

*Start Copy Here*
When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions we seem to fall into four categories: 1) quite serious about them, 2) be flippant about them, 3) do it because we feel pressured to, or 4) do not do them.
So, the purpose of this little game is to let us know which category you are in.

Copy from “*Start Copy Here*” through “*End Copy Here*” and post it.
Before “*End Copy Here*” tell us who you are, your site(s) (with link) and your New Year’s Resolution, or not.
Then tag as many others as you like, from one to your entire blogroll, your choice. If you like, create an intro paragraph to your post that also acknowledges who tagged you.

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS:Juliana – Juliana’s Site - My New Year’s resolutions are looking for a part time job, keep blogging, and learn to cook and bake.Michelle - Rusin Roundup - 1. Learn to be happier and accept myself for who I am, 2. Is to lose about 25 lbs., and 3. Is to stop smoking.Karen - Grow Rich Along With Me - My resolution for next year is to achieve $3K per month passive income by the end of 2008.Mel - Attitude, the Ultimate Power & Complain Complain Complain - “I don’t need no stinking resolutions.” I never hold to them anyway so why frustrate myself by starting them now.Sandee - Comedy Plus - I don’t need no stinking resolutions either. Years and years ago I did them because everyone else did, but not once did I follow through. Why set yourself up for failure?Lynda - lynda’s loft - My resolution is to see resolve to that which needs resolution. Like Mel and Sandee, I feel that resolutions give us more stress, however, being a person who sets goals each year, isn’t that the same thing as a resolution??? Goals vs. resolutions? Goals are more general and allow for more time to complete them, a resolution requires a mind-set and immediate action, which is not always feasible… Well, that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it…Amelia - Amel’s Realm - This is a list of my New Year’s Resolution:1. Health: Continue exercising twice a week, eat enough veggies and fruit, have enough rest, take vitamin C regularly and women’s multivitamin during my period.2. Spiritual: Improve my Daily Bread reading routine and my prayer life and learn more from God’s Word.3. Financial: Continue to make money online (my goal is getting €100 per month at least), be more creative in writing posts, and save most of the money.4. General Life: Continue to learn Finnish AND practice it as best and often as I can, try out more baking and cooking recipes, continue to maintain and share positive thoughts, continue to learn to control my thoughts, continue to learn to catch myself before I start complaining and count my blessings instead, continue to stop and cherish all the little moments in life that oftentimes go unnoticed, and continue to feed my inner child and last but not least, continue to ENJOY my life thoroughly.Trinity - Rooms of My Heart : My New Year’s resolutions in simple and fast way will be blog less and spend more time with my children and read more good books. I want to start studying about global warming and blog it…Max - MAX - My New Year’s resolutions are to dedicate more time to my friends; to finally be able to read “Der Spiegel” in German; to be calm when organizing my marriage; to go one last time to my favourite club and dance the night away; and continue to be happy!Eric - Speedcat Hollydale - I love chicken. Problem is that I really never get to have enough chicken! My New Year’s resolution is to enact “Chicken Tuesday”. On this day I will eat only chicken, blog about chicken, and promote chickens all over the world. (hormone free) Join me, won’t you?Marzie - Mariuca & Mariuca’s Perfume Gallery - My resolution for 2008 is to enjoy a healthier lifestyle and to expand my Perfume Collection.Sindi- Life Is A Roller Coaster - My resolution is to complain less, pray more and be a little more thankful for what I have.Judy - Sugar Queen’s Dream - My New Year’s resolution is:To take better care of my health. To eat better, well at least 3 meals a day, I’m lucky these days if I stop for one meal a day….To help make the world a better place to live, I love the human race, but think there’s always room for change. To be generous until it hurts. To live each day as if it’s my last.To make a book of our personal family recipes and traditions for each of my 3 my children, so that the traditions and family cooking can be passed on in my family line long after I’m gone and finally…….To help more with the local Human society, Animals like little kids can not fend for themselves so it’s up to each of us to take care of our pets and to step in and care for all animals…..I hope that through me I can encourage my Children to be better adults and in turn to raise the Children they have or will have, to be good people with good, sound & solid values…. Peace!Adrian - First Time Dad - My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 is to be a better father…now I don’t usually make New Year’s resolutions because I never keep them but this one I better keep! Happy New Year to one and all!Colin - Life - New Years Resolution? No way…Better to achieve more throughout the year rather than pander to the whims of a one day ‘wishful thought’Mauro - 1 Million Love Messages - My resolution for next year are: 1. Change my job (maybe work online). I’m really unhappy in the actual one. 2. Dedicate more time to my family and girlfriend… maybe start to get ready for our wedding 3. Work hard in 1 Million Love Messages and reach 2500 Love messages (or more) in the end of 2008.MidgetManOfSteel - Mental Poo - To get out of dealing with people who I have no desire in helping at the job I’m doing…catch the eye of someone who can see that I can write and be funny…and get my own ticket to happiness from my humor….and a Ferrari. While I’m doing this, I resolve to get a Ferrari.Stacy - My Thoughts - My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 - Is to be more understanding to my children and to other people, Not to curse at others while I am driving, try to eat right and exercise, try to volunteer in my community, and to believe more in my spiritual side.Jason - DatCurious.com & DatMoney.com - Although, I normally don’t do New Year’s Resolutions (because I find it as an excuse to actually do something I should’ve already been doing), this year I will plan on giving back to the blogging community, especially my audience. I’m not sure how I will do it yet, but I definitely will.Kesa - Little Aussie Cynic - My New Years Resolution is the standard….. to finally get off the smokes and to loose 8kg…. both which are possible just difficult…..Happy New Year to you and yours….AussieAnn - A Nice Place in the Sun - “To let the rest of my life begin as soon as possible.”Wen - Little Paces - I want to sleep early to reduce my haggard and tired complexion. To blog better than last year and hopefully can save money from paid post so that we can immigrate to Australia. To spend more time with my children. To be able to bake.Slavemom - Slavery Bliss - I’d like to have better control of my temper, be more organised and maintain my exercise regime.
*End Copy Here*

I'm not exactly an "abide by the rules" type so i'm just gonna list out what i " would " like to achieve here in my own format.
Due to my "not-so-persistent" + "not so discipline" attitude, i doubt i could achieve them fully so i might fall into category (3) or (4) according to the rules of this tag above!
here it goes:

1) to go for a serious diet; (weight reduction + inches loss is my ultimate goal)
2) to be mentally prepared to sacrifice more for the boys' studies (eg. homework guiding session at night);
3) to be a better-rounded mom & wife;
4) to improve on temper control;
5) to better manage my financial & increase savings instead of debts;

i think the list can go on as there are just too many things to achieve in life but i had better stop coz if i can achieve the above, i shouldn't be asking for more.....
oh ya.....i don't want to forget seeking for more sleep of course !!!

not tagging anyone!

Our co. little ANNUAL LUNCH.....

I wasn't sure what to call this occasion too but it was just an annual indulgence that we had after a hard year of slave.......

Other organisation used to have an annual dinner but with a set-up like "ours" where there are only 3 little mice manning an office.....how to have that? In my HQ (which is located overseas), there was a bigger celebration as the headcounts were many times bigger and the good thing is we (being far away) were not forgotten....a token that i'd always appreciated !!! So, as the year end approached, the management would announced a little "party fund" allocated for oversea staffs to spend in receiving the closing of the year! This year was no exception, we had been given USD35 per headcount to spend....that gave us approximately RM120 per person.

While i could still remember, lets jot it down here: Y2005--we pampered ourselves at AH YAT restaurant with Abalone feast, then a year forward in Y2006--we treated ourselves at JOGOYO (a luxurious japanese buffet) and this time, we decided to go for SEAFOOD and since the other 2 men in my office didn't have their own preference & dislike to make the final decision, i went ahead with my choice to Seafood UNIQUE 23 at Section 13, PJ. We drove all the way from KLCC to PJ just to eat these....................that was droooooooling man.... but was of course at the expense of our cholesterol level, guilt guilt guilt !!!

A scene that never failed to ROLL eyes !!

ABALONE

FRESH WATER PRAWN baked in cheese & garlic!

MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE....CRAB in egg yolk & sweet sour sauce.

Japanese knife clam cooked with ginger

The good thing was the total bill came out so closed to our budget that we don't have to fork out a single cent, hahaha !!!

Our Pillar of Strength

Who else would you think it would be if not the man of our little family?

Yeah...HE is the boys' HERO and the one i could rely on in every aspect of our life.....

Last couple of days when HE was away (to few parts of China), life was "temporary" meaningless! We can't go back to our own house to sleep coz my mom said it would not be safe for a woman with 2 little boys to stay put by ourselves at home. So it was like a little house moving for a week.... got to pack the boys' necessities for a week, my working attires, face & eye cares & most importantly my ASTRO card (with AOD dragon package) !!

To assume the responsibilities of driving thru d misery traffics at the Sunway toll while sending the boys to their kindy was like hell. The burden on the shoulder had seemed much heavier.

And the worst part was we had to go thru our weekends without HIM. I felt guilty but can't help to think that there's nothing worth doing when HE was not around. So i just confined the boys at home without the usual hanging out & indulgences during weekends. Everything seemed to be dull when the family unity wasn't complete although it may only seemed to be for a few days!!

So this was the quality of food that i served them........

Of course they still ate happily.......kids ma!!

Then, to top up to my guilt, that night after this meal, my little Scot had a midnight food poisoning which resulted in him vomitted & got so grumpy over his stomach ache! It was midnight, so i was left with no choice but to feed him "poh chai" pil to reduce his pain as he was too noisy & there wasn't any medicine for stomach ache in d fridge!! ya ya ya, i dun blame you for shaking head....even i don't forgive myself !! As a result i got to pay back by enduring sleep deprivation & visiting the clinic amidst the early morning rush!! Luckily, the illness was only a short one.

It was not just me that was having the 'bad time', the boys were even more distressed. Almost every now & then, they will popped me with the questions like.... 'where is dady'.... 'mumy, i want dady' .... 'when is dady coming back'....

Things got particularly sombre when i put them to sleep at night.....when the night was silent, Sean would put up a hard time trying to control his "CRIES" yearning for his dady...that moment was really pityful.....(i mean if u can imagine a little one missing his loved one so much)

Well.......well.......well......having said all & having suffered listening to my grievances, this morning we finally re-united with our pillar of strength. HE arrived slightly over midnight yesterday while we were still overnight at mom's place. Since today is Awal Muharam holiday, once awake from our sleep we quickly packed our stuffs & rushed home..................just to see our 'FEI LOU' /fat man, hahaha

This shopaholic man of mine again surprised us with loads and loads of interesting outcomes...... lets check them out:

This was the first thing that the boys dug from their dady....
GAME BOY !

Just look at the number of games that HE has got them......
This time i really had a good lecture on HIM as HE has been spending unnecessarily on the boys which indirectly contributed to the "spoilt brat" that they are now. The boys already had the One Station game so it wasn't necessarily to get them these but HE said it was so much cheaper there..........sigh sigh sigh !!!

************************************************************
Next was some snacks....marsh mallow, Macau's famous biscuit, sausages and some candies!

***********************************************************
Then, it was some art & craft books !

**************************************************************

Here are some BEIJING OLYMPIC stuffs....keychains!

nice right??

*************************************************************

Moving on is.........jeng jeng jeng, this one cannot mentioned, it was just too cheap that you just can't resist grabbing them! Have you ever imagine they actually needed a 'trolley' to shop for 'these stuffs' ??? hahaha, what a sight huh.....

**************************************************************
Finally.........have you NOTICE just yet that there aren't exactly anything specific for me??? Isn't it just goes to show how much the boys were occupying his mind instead of me???
Well......how could i still complaint....isn't that what we (being a mother) had always wished for?
GOT.....got lar, i still got this ma.....to fulfill my blogging needs !!! hahaha

L I F E is back......yohoo !!

Headache or Not....check it out ???

At the end of the post is the highlight with a video taken on 1/1/2008 where our family celebrated my cousin sister's wedding (such precious date they have chosen, heh) ......not wedding AGAIN???? yeah, there is another one coming this March-08............and he's the brother of the bride. My aunty is going to marry away both her daughter & son in 3 months time........

I have been mentioning a lot about my sis's wedding not long ago so i don't think i would like to say anything this time as most of our chinese wedding ceremonies are more or less the same anyway.

But, but, but.....there were so many things we re-collected on that night.........it is also the only reason i wana give a mention ...............

7 years ago, we had OUR OWN wed. dinner reception at the same place too.......heh heh, that's why lar!

Two little handsomes.....

Thru out these years, we have not had a chance to be back there so it was kind of a strange yet excited & happy feeling flowing beneath us...

Unfortunately, over the years the ballroom has aged a lot and it looked not so nice anymore. Probably our standard has increased as we had attended too many grand weddings in 5 star hotels lately !!

The boys with their fat-fat cousin brother (Tze Jiat).

I was quite taken a back when i knew that the host actually allowed the 'karaoke' session......so the whole night we were entertained with songs from the 70s delivered by all the 'aunties & uncles' (mostly above 50 years of age).......don't you pity our ears ????

Of course My mom being a fans of karaoke did not missed the chance to show-off. While she thought she could seeked a little attention from the floor to appreciate her voice.........but guess what, my 2 monkeys stole away the entire floor's attention instead!!

CHECK IT OUT and you tell me headache or not???

Initially, i went hiding away my face when the boys were up there on the stage until the monkeys went over the other microphone & started screaming (while my mom was still singing) so i had no choice but to run to the stage to control them......arghhh, "malunya"/it was so embarassed !!!

A little Surprise...for the NEW YEAR !

While everyone seemed to be enjoying their year end & new year holidays, I particularly dislike this period......as it would be my most busiest cum stressful time of the year! I used to envy people who could afford clearing their leaves & enjoy a long break at the end of the year but for 'those stupid slaves' that needed to deal with figures (like me) could only grudge.........
So.....dear friends, i have not been able to find time to write as almost every night, my mind desires for an early rest & sleep!!
Therefore, am just going to cheer myself up with below photos and hopefully they would enlighten your day too...........ladies & gentlemen, we were greeted with these 2 creatures in ToysR'Us the other day.......hahahaha

P O W E R R A N G E R S !!

I tell you, these 2 idiots are so bad.....I don't know whether they did it purposely. I saw that they like to appear from the kids' back to give them a good scare ...... or they probably wanted to see the kids' reactions & (except for elder kids) most often than not, all the kids got a REAL SHOCK......some kept shaking their heads & hands while stepping back away in cries, some ran away hiding behind their parents' back & some screamed....
When I first saw them walking towards me, i got a little shock too and mother instinct told me to be prepared to cover(protect) my boys.....knowing their timid character!! And true enough, the boys screamed & ran away.....though that only last a short while! After mumy & dady shaked their hands & touched/rather knocked on their outfit to explore, the boys got relaxed a bit & finally agreed to taking a photo with them.
See their FAKE smiles........hahaha
