"Our" 1st BARBEQUE during mid autumn.........

"Yeah.....we heard so many people talked about "BARBEQUE" ........finally we had our taste of it! But we scared of the fire & the heat lah......"

Yes, the boys indeed knew what bbq means (i guess to cook food lar) but they enjoyed playing the candles & lanterns with their cousins more! They actually explored a lot with fire this time around........i doubt if it was a good thing? But i took the opportunity to explain a lot about handling fire........hopefully it served as a lesson!
Btw, the bbq was among our siblings & their families at mom's house!

It has been quite sometime we had our last bbq & the preparation part was no easy man.....

Marinated & wrapped the fish....."kampung" & "pari" were the selections........

Lighting up the charcoal was also a challenging task...........no experienced 'scout' around in d family, hehehe!!

Below was the main "sifu" that grilled us wonderful chicken wings, fishes & etc.....that's why u see my sis rewarded him below............hahaha !!

Next was the 'drinker' couple........3rd sis & huby !!!
Curry squid
Sweet potatoe
Mrs. Yee (sis's MIL) cooked us her speciality again..........ASAM LAKSA, fuwah......this was so superb !!
The kids' meal.

This will be the final party of this year's mid autumn. It was hectic, tiring but definitely a memorable period for us!!

Lantern Festival Part 2-Pesta Tanglung Muhibbah TMP

It was the first Lantern Fiesta organised by the housing community where my parents stayed in Puchong. It looked to me that lots of sweat & effort poured into making this event a success. The fiesta was indeed "BIG" in many ways.......VIPs invited, huge participants, varieties of pot luck foods, activities, games, lucky draws, prizes, parades, karaoke singing & etc etc.........

It was held at the housing recreation park where the twins visited almost every other evening....

Before the event started, there were games organised for the kids!! My 'chicken' boys finally participated in the game once they'd comfortably watched the 1st round of game & got themselves some pressie !!!

Initially, I had a bit of under estimated the food that would be served as our dinner tonite but I was definitely wrong this time. Though it was all under the voluntary pot luck style but I was simply impressed with the "varieties".........you go check out !!! NO SPONSOR, all out of the good deed pockets of the communities, some cooked themselves, some buy......i salute them......at least i know my own housing community wouldn't be able to do that!!

But then as all the hungry "US" waited & waited for the organiser to blow the whistle so that the hungry stomach could be fulfilled, we were all "forced" to WAIT & WELCOME some super VIP guests. Waited & waited.....the clock striked 7:30, not even the shadow was sighted. Arghhh, i think i'm not the only one cursing them, hehe..........slightly after 7:35, yeah finally heard MC mentioned the arrival of a member of parlimen, state assemblyman & bla bla bla !! BUT, still have to wait......committee chairman speech, Y.B. speech & etc etc..........aduh, it was such a torture I can tell you!! Hate the feeling coz it made me feel as though i'm one of those 'dumb' that couldn't afford a dinner for my kids..... But since the food looked so drooling & my twins were happily enjoying themselves making friends, I "pei min"/gave face & sacrificed a bit also worth lar....... When all the VIPs finished with their craps & the MC announced : "you may begin with the food"........you can imagine all those hungry ghost rushing, ouch....such an unsighty scene !!

But luckily, the foods were really in a very handy quantum, so guess everyone had a full stomach, i even saw some packing home the unfinished foods !! So, lets check out....

Curry puff, sponge cakes, jelly moon cakes.............

Spaghetti...........looks drooling ehh? There were also various version of Curry chicken.....

Fried mee hoon, pastries & cakes................

Kuih - Muih

Satay pun ada lar..........

Malaysian all time favourite............nasi lemak bungkus !!

Cakes & Pastries..........

Nicely cut & pack fruits & junkies...........

My favourite jelly moon cakes.........

Nothg special.....all know it's hard boiled eggs but SPONSORed by my mom mah.....hehehe

Half way through eating, my cheeky Scot managed to caught a glimpse of the arrival of the below monster..........haha, the Mr. Clown!! Guess what? While all the other kids were thrilling welcoming his arrival, my 'chicken' boys ran & ran & ran their life away from this creature that they were so damn afraid of. Sean wasn't that bad........sooner he became warmed up & approached him for a 'sword' balloon but not with Scot. He was extremely frightened that he remained at his hiding place for a long 5 minutes & was so reluctant to get near him though he yearned for the sword balloon so much. After much persuasion & convincing, he still refused. Then as the last call, I said I will carry him along as I told him Mr. Clown will not give mumy the balloon if the doesn't followed. Out of no choice, he agreed........clinging to my waist so hard, oh my boy!!

There were also lantern competition & lucky draw but I was too exhausted to even bother to participate. The boys were running around the park, both d maid & me were so tired of chasing & looking after them !! So, tomorrow first half of Sunday will be a recuperating time before attending another lantern party at night !!!

A Saturday without dady...........

Unusual Saturday coz dady was not around, dady was in Hanoi holidaying !!! Maggie yiyi came over our home on Friday night to touch up some work on her wedding slides & slept over too. So since we all so free, we just tagged along Mag's schedule. Went over to the tailor to get some table clothings done, breakfast & had a brief re-charged at Mag's condo later. Soon, we headed out for another appointment, that's selecting Mag's bridal & evening gown for her upcoming wedding in Nov-07. I knew ahead that with the boys along, it would be another havoc but Mag can't find anyone to give a 2nd opinion and so the rest needless to mention...............
Before the customer service staff was ready to serve us, we proceeded to browse the selections. And mumy began her photography actions despite the prohibition sign below........hehehehe !!!

See before the actual trying of the gowns, the boys already in their stunts................arghhh !!!

It was yet another occasion with mumy unwillingly "yelling" & "shouting" so much to bring the boys in control, chase & chase.......until drop dead tiring !! So after done, Mag yiyi treated us to Swensen & the twins had their KING sized nuggets, spaghetti and not forgetting their core products ice-creams !!

Reached home almost 4pm.......quickly forced the boys to rest for the lantern fiesta that night!!

Mooncake festival celebn - Part 1

2007 Mid autumn festival seems to be a super BUSY one!
There was suppose to be a lantern festival held in the twins' school, Q-Dees Friday nite from 7-9pm. But because dady wasn't around, mumy didn't want to take the trouble to travel all the way from Puchong to PJ just for that. Yeah i know.....sounds very dependent & so do feel a bit bad as the boys had been chatting between themselves about the lantern event not knowing that they will not be able to attend.......hahaha !! But i didn't want to forget driving at night with 2 active boys isn't a very smart thing to do lately! Some more Friday nite, the boys have their drama class to attend so...... ahhh, forget it !

As there will be 2 more lantern parties waiting ahead during the weekend, I'm sure the boys would not loose out having fun later, so wait boys.........!!
Meanwhile, as money has been "invested" in the lanterns (both electronic & conventional type), I had better made sure the boys "yield" the benefits/happiness as much as possible !! So after done with their nite routine i.e. school homework, i invited them to lit up the candles in the lanterns and created beautiful colors & lights as below................

The version without "flash"........

"spiderman"

The version "with flash"............

Here's the family's favourite mooncake..........home made yam mooncake (from a villager), definitely not too sweet type, we just love it !!!

Looks yummy ???

There will be more pictures & updates on lantern festivals ..............

I LOVE Your Blog.......

We didn't stressed out ourselves a lot as we used to be on a cheerful Saturday. Reason was my Scot was down with a runny nose & bit of cough so dady has no mood to go anywhere far from our secure home. Just hopped in to the newly opened Giant mall in Bandar Kinrara neighbourhood to get some groceries......very huge store with great offerings too! Then straight we headed back home......rest, unpacked groceries, preparation for dinner & basically linger around watching TV!
As the boys started to run out of battery, I sneaked out for a hair treatment while dady stay put to mind the boys!!
The boys were exceptionally tired today & knocked off very early tonight leaving both dady & mumy very free. Furthermore, ASTRO didn't have any good show......sucks!

So here I am blogging & busy hopping to others' blog when i stumbled upon a series of late night surprises!! Our dear papajoneh has given me 2 consecutive features in his blog!! Oh my oh my, such a disbelief yet very touching, warm......is Sabahan all that nice ahh?? Suddenly my late night felt so sparkle as if someone just release fireworks.

Firstly, he said he Love My Blog !! That alone I already 'melt' lor.......really never expect this! Of course i love a blog that has such a nice & thoughtful author too!

Then, he posted a pic of my site on his laptop while he was at work..........ooi, if your boss discovered & reprimand you, don't blame me, k??? All I want to say is it felt just so nice to be remembered !!! Btw, ppj is a dad to a set of twin boys too with a 3 year old elder son. We are all nice parents willing to share every bits of our parenting tips, just knock my door anytime!

So, i'm suppose to pass on this award. As denotes on my side bar, all the sites that I visit would be the blog that I LOVE !!!

My 2nd award....... NICE MATTER AWARD !!!

According to the Originator of the Nice Matters Award it is intended for “those that are just nice people, good blog friends, and those that inspire good feelings and inspiration! Those that care about others, that are there to lend support, or those that are just a positive influence in our blogging world!”

Irrespective of whether I met any of those credentials mentioned above to be awarded this Nice Matters Award, I just felt warm to receive it! My deep gratitude to an equally nice mumy, Annie for d thoughts always! If i'm not mistaken u awarded me my 1st award too.......so huge heart!

The receiver of this award may choose to pass on the award to 7 whom you think deserves it. So far, I'd came to know that most of the bloggers whose blogs I would not failed to drop by had received the same award such as Sasha, Annie, Chinnee, Yvonne, Tracy, Chanel, Zewt so I need not send the tag to them though they are well deserve for it, with an exception of Papajoneh----not sure if he has been awarded but he definitely deserve it too (he has been too nice)!!!

Our China town-Petaling Street.......

One of the lunch during the working day last week, huby & I went for a lunch date. I suggested to go Petaling Street. It was rather embarassing to say that the last time I landed my foot in this place was definitely more than 5 years ago! I don't even recalled back then seeing this beautiful signboard at both end of the street.......has truly "china town' taste!!

You see.....isn't it soothing to walk under such shady skylight?Back to the objective of this trip, i had been on the look out for the chinese 'sam fu' suit for my boys as i had wanted them to wear this during their yi-yi chinese wedding ceremony!! I have been told to come to this place for more choices at cheaper price. Yeah, true enough there were plenty & pricing wise was reasonable, considering i was desperate to get it!

Jeng jeng jeng, here is it !!
Sean...koko
Scot.....titiLook "CHINA AH PEK' or not??

Then since we were already in that "food heaven" which has so much offerings with specialties, we definitely would not missed the chance to eat, eat & eat... then drink... then ta pao/pack pulak!! Aduh, slap slap head !!

We fulfilled our itchy throat first before started our food hunting.............

Finally decided on the famous "Koon Kee" wan tan mee!

Besides this oyster sauce steam chicken, on the table also lied a bowl of 5 pcs "sui kow"/dumplings despite 2 plates of the above......my huby style.....never only 2 plates of noodles/rice, side dishes a must!! A lunch for 2 persons at RM24+, "keng leh" ??

Then we came across this which happened to be our all time favourite!!

Finally, our original "Brother" chicken dried meat shop was there so what u think.....of course grabbed also lar.............it was still kept in our fridge so tomorrow we will be eating this as sandwich with white bread, mmmm, yummy yummy !!!

End of story with shopping & food at our China Town !!

Bosses Farewell

Today was the last day of work for my 2 bosses in our HQ.

Both the guys as well as myself had been working in d same company since its inception & it is reaching its' 7th years now!! Though I only started to work more closely with them about 3 years back, that was suffice for me to develop a nice feeling towards them.

These 2 guys are just too nice to be called 'a boss'........despite able to upkeep their professionalism & efficiency, they were never selfish, arrogant or bossy, in fact always maintain a 'friendship style'.

Respect & trust are among the 2 traits practised during the entire tenure of work. I just have too many unforgettable pleasures working with them despite the distance gap, ooh...did i just mention that my HQ is actually located in Hong Kong?

So Isn't it wonderful to be able to leave such a memorable treasures in someone after a departure? This has always been my principle at work, to work happily among colleagues irrespective of whether they are bosses, peers or subordinates! After all, we spent at least 8 hours at work so to be optimistic & maintain a healthy working relationship was imperative to survive that long working hours!!

Apparently i heard, it wasn't their choice to leave but "again" the management's so-called 'decision'. For that, I really hate RE*CH for the never ending changes.... be it biz strategy, organization structure, staffing or etc etc. Throughout the years, i've seen so many many rounds of changes with strategy, ownership, biz direction, SMT members, VSS, downsizing...........it used to be scary, cruel, sad, emotional, frustration, uncertainty but to a certain extend, it created immunization in me..............well, today i dun care anymore, i'm only working/slaving (a term learnt from zewt) like it or not, so long as i did my part perfectly well, i'm already doing justice to both d co. & myself! Be happy, remember? So I'd learnt to just LIVE LIFE ON.................
thanks for listening but sorry for ranting unnecessarily!!

Lets put behind the sad part & restore the happy moments we spent together last year in HK.

Since these 2 guys are 'so nice'.........."WE" all, their staffs around the globe decided that they deserved at least a beautiful card from all of us. So suggestions & ideas were flying around via e-mail on who & what to do.......... In the end, I have the biggest heart, I offered to do it so it is just fair that i keep the memories here in rememberance of my 2 nice bosses!!

This was for my Group FC!

In return, this was the gratitude message sent across to us...................
