UPDATED : What a token from *SUNSWEET *

UPDATED : MY GOD............I HAD TERRIBLE PROBLEM OPENING UP THE TULIP CAN lar ....
THAT PROVED HOW LACKING I'M DEALING WITH CAN food.....YES, I SELDOM EAT CANNED FOOD !!! BUT THEN....WHY CAN'T THEY DESIGN THE CAN IN SUCH A WAY THAT ANY "PIG OR COW" ALSO KNOW HOW TO OPEN......NOW ISN'T THIS CALL NOT USER FRIENDLY ENOUGH leh ????


grrrrrr.....so geram & was cursing all the way.....u see how my luncheon meat turned out???

I called this a GIFT !!! A gift that came just in time for the festive season !!


A month or so before, sasha's friend asked if i'm interested to testify the products of a company as part of its' marketing gimmick as well as to further boost awareness!!! In return we are just 'encouraged' to give our sincere testimony and no 'hard sale' is expected !! Obviously i see no reason to reject it !!

And of course i wasn't the only blogger invited to participate in this campaign .....many other bloggers around would have already received this same goodies pack !!

I must say i'm quite impressed (will tell u why later) with what i see inside, though i've tried most of the snacks before.....with the exception of the below TULIP luncheon meat !!!

It is all acknowledged today that luncheon meat is no longer an acceptable food in our diet due to reason obviously known .......
yet i trust that you & I still thinks that it is a very delicious food, no??? emm.....yum yum !!

Since young 'mader' already said we cannot eat this food too much, so my brain has forbid me from buying this for ages....in fact, i think my boys had not tasted this food before !!!
But now that i received this for FREE, no way that i'm not eating it
who cares.....eat first lar !!!
Btw, i'm not that worry as it is not from CHINA, LOL LOL !!!


Next item is the most impressive part among the goodies which i'd mentioned earlier!!
The pack came with a complete RECIPE folders !!!
Although the main reason behind the recipes was to call for the use of their products, i'm still very much attracted with their creative recipes !!!
As if they just knew how passionate I am into baking & cooking recently.......** wink **

I collected the goodies together with Irene in KLCC and the first reaction from Irene in an sms to me was :
" wuah...got recipe file wor, geng lar....good for you man...hahaha "

Meaning....??? ?? i got more work to do lar (as if i'm not busy enough......grrrrrr) !!

It's ok la, Tulip luncheon meat...because that's the luncheon meat I buy also, besides Spams. LOL!
I'm more interested in that recipe book! Din know that we can cook stew pork with prunes...

hahahahahahah... good hor, i bring back gip my mom the luncheon meat. ya loh, the recipe book is vy good, din know can cook certain dishes with prunes! :)

I like to eat luncheon meat but my kids hardly eat that. So sweet hor, for them to include recipes for you to try out.

try the SPAM luncheon meat, taste nicer than TULIP, what's more, SPAM can be opened up easily!! BTW, SPAM is fully imported from USA.

Ah well next vidit I know what to bring you...a good can opener. The cook here occasionally uses the Spam ham meat in fried rice. There is another variety australian made....forget its name, but slice it thinly and it can be grilled and eaten on toast for a quick snack.

Eh, did u use the lil key at the bottom of the can? I think u've to slip the lil key into the opening at the side of the can n roll it to open it up. But the last time I tried this brand, the key broke so maid gotta open with a normal can opener. So yes, it's vy user-unfrenly! Then hor, after she fried them, we threw away everything coz it tasted quite bad. The porky smell was vy strong (as compared to Ma Ling). We're one of the weird ones who still eat luncheon meat from China. :p
Fantastic recipes! After u've tried the pork stew with prunes, pls share the 'adjusted' recipe ok. ;)

hahaha, so uncle u also used SPAM...that goes to show it's a brand that i shd explore next for my luncheon meat!!

ginie, i saw the key at d bottom & guessed that it is for opening but still couldn't figured out how to use it...gosh!! btw, taste wise, i don't find them very great too... unfortunately!! gotta be awhile bf i will hv time to embark on d prune recipe lor...
