My New Camera.......

Actually our old Nikon digital camera is still in a "good" condition........as in it still perform well otherwise you would not have seen so many "nice nice" pictures here, rite?

But then, huby & I had always wanted to own a video camera.........that was a wish even before the arrival of our 'precious'. We had already missed capturing those valuable milestones for as long as 4 years plus. But that still doesn't convinced us enough to get one.

It was since the birth of my blog that eventually grew back the long lost desire to own one. I had been snapping the most number of shots in my entire life to fulfill the need of making my blog interesting. That was also when, my huby started to discover how valuable this task of keeping a blog was. So shooting some good pictures become more & more important in every aspects of our daily life. After all, it is these life journeys that filled up our very own blog. Now that this goal became so significant, it is no doubt that our old camera starts lacking in delivering its' performance. And there it eventually raise the need to own a better digital camera for blog purposes.

Given that firstly, we had want a video camera for long & secondly, we are in the look out for a better digital camera, so there is no further excuse to delay getting a more performing digital camera that comes with video recording function. After much surveys & comparison, we ended up getting Canon's IXUS 950 IS which was very much due to the ICT Carnival promotion running last weekend at 1 Utama. Besides the specifications met with our requirements, being the greedy lot, we were also attracted with the offer of other goodies......like 1G memory card, tripod stand & full package of accessories.

Finally, we didn't forget that one of the main deciding factor was the machine has got to be
slim, svelte, light & beautiful..........

And this has perfectly match our pre-requisites !!

And so there lies our old Nikon camera sitting at the corner of the shelf being neglected............

It still measures a pocket-sized 9.0 x 5.7 x 2.6cm and weighs in at 165g. The Ixus 950 IS feels solid, sturdy and well-made, despite giving the fragile first impression typical of many shiny, semi-expensive gadgets like compact digital cameras
