If you could remember, huby bought home the "rice spring roll skin" from Hanoi recently.......... and so the consequence is.........he has to cook lar coz the wife only know how to eat!!! He became more than happy to cook bcoz my parents accepted his invitation to try his cookings! On the other hand, my parents became excited after huby misled/bluff them of the yummy Vietnamese snack that he can cook.............hehehe !
Below was the Vietnamese style spring roll. It was definitely more healthy..............
The content of the wrap was chicken floss, prawn, mee hoon, green lettuce with......"hoi sin" sauce or sour chillie sauce !
And the wrapping process..... in the making !!!
Here's the final product................emmm, very nice wor, everyone said !!!
Besides this interesting appetizer, our main meal was totally of another flavour. Since we still have a packet of the Sarawak laksa "paste" in our shelf (also bought by huby in S'wak), so huby cooked that...........It was his first time cooking this though he had eaten it many many times. So it is obvious that he was trying his luck. Cut story short, check out the outcome................
Slurpp slurpp leh?? Not just looked nice..........taste also NOT BAD at all. Yes, luck was with him..... he happy, we got more "hau fook" !!!
But we also cooked some Malaysian fried rice............supposingly for the boys but my ego man hinted to me to cook slightly more.......apparently just in case his laksa failed wor............yeah, he wasn't confident that his laksa was going to work and so he had wanted this to be the "back up" so as the guests would not be ended up eating something awful...........bwahahaha !!!
So in the end, we had a satisfying dinner.......everyone had their stomach overloaded & taste fulfilled with mixed flavours...............yeah, good job lou kung !!!
